PRAYING FOR ENEMIES TO DIE? – By Sam Chiaka

SO YOU’RE PRAYING FOR YOUR ENEMIES TO DIE?

Calm down, let’s talk about it.

First, Jesus said we shouldn’t.

Matthew 5:43-44

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

He said we ought to pray for them not against them.

Someone said Jesus didn’t give the prayer point, He only said pray for your enemies.

That’s mischievous.

See the words he used in talking about your conduct in relation to your enemies and those who ill-treat you:
LOVE THEM… i.e think/wish well of them
BLESS THEM… i.e speak well to/of them
DO GOOD TO THEM… i.e only do things for them that will benefit them.
PRAY FOR THEM… i.e invoke blessings, not curses, upon them.

Same thought is expressed in Romans.

Romans 12:14
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Notice “If your enemy is hungry, feed him”, not “poison him”.
“If he thirsts, give him drink”, not ” tell him ntor! I told you the wicked shall not go unpunished “.

Let me say this categorically,
ANYONE WHO PRAYS FOR ANOTHER TO DIE (FOR WHATEVER) REASON IS NOT DOING SO BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD!
Quote me anywhere.

I confronted one who leads a congregation to pray like that.
In defense he said “we’re not praying people to die but for demons in them to die”

Amazing.

Something even Jesus could not do in His earth walk.
He simply drove out demons, not kill them.
You can’t kill demons.
At least not yet.

Someone else said to me ‘so should we be doing gentleness until they finish us?’

1 Peter 3:13
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?58543838_2463611527027741_204253113996017664_o

We must come to realize that good is stronger and infinitely more powerful than evil.

Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

The reason you think someone can harm you is because you have been taught wrong.

You think someone can successfully destroy your destiny. You don’t know Jesus. You don’t know who you are in Christ. Your main problem is ignorance, not some enemy.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

The day you wake up to know who you are in Christ, you become untouchable, undefeatable, indomitable!
You will cast out demons with simple words because you know you’re superior to them. Your fears of enemies will melt away.

Psalms 27:2
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

I don’t pray about human enemies.
All such prayers are motivated by fear.
I simply stand on God’s word.
My focus is Jesus, not Satan.
The devil doesn’t determine my prayer point.

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

My being an overcomer is not something I pray to acquire, I was born that way in Christ.
I don’t pray to overcome evil, I simply take my place as a OVERCOMER.

If I sense any demonic activity around me, I simply roar GET OUT IN JESUS NAME!
That is the end immediately.
I am not wrestling with evil spirits.
I am not in any combat with them.
They’re far beneath me, because I am in Christ.

Mark 16:17
…In my name shall they cast out devils….

Stop praying ‘enemy die die’ prayers.
Praying for people to die is not the spirit of Christ.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.

That person you are praying to die, is he born again yet? Is he walking in the truth of God’s word yet? If not then you’re praying the wrong prayer. God’s will is that he repents. Pray that.

If you don’t know anyhow else to pray apart from ‘die die’, you need a new church.

Let us pray!20280501_1544883052233931_538276388120829402_o.jpg
