We Need To Know You – Please Share A Brief Biography About Yourself

My name is Paul Masibo Barasa. I received salvation in the year 2012. I work/minister with AfricaHope Christian Church. Besides that, am a teacher by profession. Am the director for AfricaHope Christian Church. Am currently running an orphanage school for both orphans and vulnerable kids. In the year 2012, i conceived the call for ministry and thus i had a burden for ministry to care and educate both orphans and vulnerable kids and this led to the existence of Africa Hope Academy as a church based initiative in one of our churches. To date, am still working in this children initiative since i believe that in this way, i shall be serving God with my profession. Besides this, am also active in singing in church, a Bible study teacher and a preacher as well. Am also an associate pastor in one of these churches since we are a church planting ministry.

Currently, i envision to build a children’s home, buy a school van, build an established school, buy more land and plant churches as well.

1.  The name of our church is AfricaHope Christian Church. Our statement of faith is derived from Rom. 15:13. 2. All our teaching  and preaching is based  on the canon of scripture- the 66 books of the Bible. We believe the Bible is infallible and innerant word ord of God(2 Tim 3:16-17).  3. We believe in the Trinity – God the father, the son and the Holy spirit.     4. We believe Jesus Christ came on earth though birth by the virgin Mary. His purpose of coming was to redeem the fallen nature of man through His death on the cross. We believe that Jesus ressurected. On the third day after His Death and He is seated on the right hand side of God the father in heaven praying for the church He founded on earth. 6. We believe in the Holy spirit as a person in church of the administration of the church which Jesus founded and handed  to Him after Jesus departed to Heaven.  7. We believe in Babtism by immersion and the dedication of babies.   8. We believe that Jesus Christ will come again to take home the faithful saints and the wicked will be judged according to their belief and actions.   9. We believe in partaking of the Lord’s table as a remembrance  of Christ’s death on the cross.  The bread represents His body and the cup represents His blood which was poured at Calvary for for redemption of the fallen nature of man. 10.We believe in the Holy matrimony through which procreation is carried out to preserve the race of man on earth.    11. We believe in teaching and preaching the word of God as commissioned by Jesus in Mathew 28:19-20.   12.  We use Dynamic equivalent (NIV) as our favorable version of scripture since English is our second language.     13. We are derived from a Pentecostal background.   14. We believe that through sound theological Education and through revelation by the Holy spirit, scriptures are interpreted according to context.    15.  We believe that the Church comprises of believes in Jesus who continue to be sanctified for their preparation into good citizenship into heaven.

So far, we have bought land for our four churches. We have also build temporary structures in three of these plots and one permanent structure in one of the plots. We have also build 6 temporal structures and a temporal office also. About church planting, we envision to acquire more land to plant more churches, build permanent structures, acquire reliable public address system for mass evangelism, acquire ministry vans and motorbikes for mobility. Initiate micro-finance enterprises for widows, widowers and vulnerable members.                                                                       About the orphanage school, we envision to purchase more land for school facilities and an orphanage home, buy a school van, expand the school to accommodate more kids, establish a medical facility and even initiate a high school.
